Hoax Reports of Space Aliens Flood Immigration Hotline

Trump Hotline Illegal Aliens

However, people went on Twitter to tell others what the line should be used for.

The creation of the hotline stems from a January executive order issued by President Trump.

The exact number of people who have called the hotline isn't known, but people on Twitter stated that they waited for a long time to reach the number.

The VOICE office is completely wrongheaded being that multiple studies show that immigrants regardless of legal status are less likely to commit violent crimes than native-born USA citizens.

ICE is not happy about this.

The spokesperson said the agency will adjust resources as necessary to ensure that victims - real victims - get the help they need.

One of the first people to troll the hotline was Alexander McCoy, a Marine vet from NY. Ridley Scott's new movie in the "Aliens" franchise opens on May 19, and April 26 was considered "Alien Day" because the planet on which Sigourney Weaver's powerhouse Ellen Ripley character sets down was named "LV-426".

"Wouldn't it be a shame if millions of people called this hotline to report their encounters with aliens of the UFO variety", read McCoy's tweet.

He's outraged by the Trump administration's policies toward undocumented immigrants and was looking for a "fancy way" to push back.

"They are casualties of crimes that should never have taken place", said DHS Secretary John Kelly of the people the hotline was meant to serve, according to BBC.

Opponents disagreed. And they seemed to enjoy trolling the hotline after its introduction, with one man, Marine Corps veteran and journalist Alexander McCoy, telling BuzzFeed that he reported being abducted by a UFO.

Another woman called in to say she had been victimized by "an immigrant living in NYC on my tax dollars".

Another person wrote: "Just tried to call to report the theft of my tractor by space cadets on hold for 8 minutes had to abandon, will call again!"
