Trump and Putin to meet in July, Russian state media says

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will raise the question of struggle against terrorism during his visit to the United States of America, Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters during a news conference.

Comey's shock dismissal ignited furor among Democrats, who suggested that the FBI's investigation into Trump's campaign and Russian Federation could now be tainted, an idea the White House has rejected.

In addition to posting the Lavrov-Trump picture, the foreign ministry also posted video of Lavrov joking about Comey's firing. Trump on Wednesday welcomed Vladimir Putin's top diplomat to the White House for Trump's highest level face-to-face contact with a Russian government official since he took office in January.

Meeting Lavrov the next day was considered a questionable move, and it has been suggested it wasn't one the White House wanted to publicize.

Peskov said both Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin are expected to be at the G20 summit in Germany in July, which "could serve as a good occasion" for them to meet. "It's standard practice", the official said.

-Russian relations after Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov met U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington, a Kremlin spokesman said on Thursday.

"I don't doubt that the Russians are hacking us".

"I am urging USA journalists not to lose their professional dignity and not to pin the blame on other people for their failure in organizing the photoshoot and the failure to provide access to their media".
