Dallas Zoo's breakdancing gorilla shows off his pool moves

Gorilla Breakdancing Pool

In Zola's case it means he feels comfortable enough to throw down his moves.

The Zoo released video this week of the Western Lowland gorilla dancing in a kiddie pool that includes some splashy moves.

"This is Zola 100 percent", Ashely Orr, the primate supervisor who recorded the hilarious video, wrote to ABC News.

A Dallas man couldn't resist adding the song "Maniac" from that classic "Flashdance" scene.

"There's a lot more to this behaviour than you may think", Dallas Zoo, where Zola is living now, said.

Zola's "dancing" is really just a "play behavior" which is a natural behavior present in a wide array of animals. The video had 40,607 views at time of writing, and even inspired a superb edit with music.

Once a Calgary Zoo resident in 2011 when one of his videos went viral, Zola's 15 minutes of fame aren't up. What soundtracks do you see other people adding to this clip?

If you want to check out Zola, the Dallas Zoo is open 9 a.m.to 5 p.m. daily.
