E3 2017: Ancient Egypt Is Your Sandbox In 'Assassin's Creed Origins'

The star of the show is likely to be Assassin's Creed: Origins, even though that game also got top billing during Microsoft's Xbox event on Sunday.

Beyond Good and Evil 2 isn't the only game announced at E3 that promises to be inclusive to people of color, with Assassin's Creed Origins and Dishonored: Death of the Outsider both featuring black protagonists.

"Assassin's Creed Origins" is slated to release October 27 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

As previously suggested, the next installment in Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed series will take place in Egypt and will see the franchise go right back to the very start of the Brotherhood's history.

Dubbed as the first assassin, Bayik is seen as a sort of Egyptian sheriff, looking to right the wrongs of a corrupt regime. The game was said to be set in Egypt which is now confirmed by the new leak.

It appears that the release date for Assassin's Creed: Origins has been leaked online via a pre-order listing.

From the details they revealed at the conference, the game will be much more detailed.

After a mountain of lessassin's Creed has had some RPG elements for a while - mostly via side missions that have you sending out recruits on their own missions - but Origins embraces the whole "action RPG" thing. With the Hawk detection, the player can launch Eagle in the sky to keep an eye on his enemies from the sky.

After taking two years out of the franchise to refine their formula following the well-received Assassin's Creed Syndicate, it looks like the Assassin's Creed is only going to get better. Players can expect to navigate the waters with their ship, uncover lost tombs, explore the Great Pyramids, and learn about mummies, the gods, and the lost pharaohs. The Gold Edition will include all digital content of the Deluxe Edition in addition to the Season Pass, which will give players the ability to access all future major expansions and two new sets of equipment.
