Wyoming Gasoline Prices Fall with the Price of Oil

The latest GasBuddy.com survey of ME gas stations shows the average price of gas went down 5.1 cents per gallon in the past week, to $2.26.

At some places in the Miami area, though, you could find prices cheaper than average.

Florida gas prices averaged $2.27 on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the average price nationally fell rose three cents to $2.30 a gallon, GasBuddy reported.

Including the change in gas prices in NY during the past week, prices Sunday were 1.6 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and are 3.8 cents per gallon lower than a month ago.

"As to what we can expect over the next few weeks is that gasoline prices will continue to move lower", said Eugene LaDoucer, a AAA spokesman for North Dakota.

In addition, DeHaan says the increased demand for gasoline during the busy travel season will also cause gas prices to increase. High oil production rates in the USA and lower demand could lead to gas prices continuing to fall through the end of June. American motorists are the big winners here, as they fill their tanks for a summer road trip. Areas in California and their current gas price climate: Stockton- $2.90/g, down 9.3 cents per gallon from last week's $3.00/g. The lowest price this year was $2.26 in February. The lowest price so far this year was $2.036 on March 27. According to GasBuddy historical data, gasoline prices on June 19 in Sacramento have ranged widely over the last five years: $2.73/g in 2016, $3.27/g in 2015, $3.99/g in 2014, $3.87/g in 2013 and $3.91/g in 2012.

The West Texas Intermediate crude price was $44.46 per barrel as of noon Monday, the benchmark price for light and sweet oil.

Meteorologists are watching two storms in the Atlantic Basin, either of which have the potential to push fuel prices higher this week.

"Oil and gas prices would rise if either of these develop into a major storm, move into the Gulf of Mexico, and threaten supply coming from refineries along the Gulf Coast", Jenkins said.
