Manchester United confirmed the signing of Romelu Lukaku from Everton last week following the arrival of defender Victor Lindelof from Benfica.
Mourinho still wants two more signings and Sportsmail understands a £44million deal for Perisic has nearly been agreed.
"No idea. No idea my friend".
However, the 28-year-old Croatian worldwide is keen to leave San Siro and posted a cryptic message on Instagram on Monday.
United are keen to wrap up a deal so Perisic does not have to travel and are said to be increasingly hopeful of finalising terms.
If United are still interested in the player, it looks like there's still some way to go before any deal is completed.
The Old Trafford outfit were reportedly close to agreeing a £44million fee for Perisic, who would become their third signing of the summer.
Inter are holding out for £48m and have also enquired about the possibility of United forward Anthony Martial being included in the deal.
Inter are believed to be closing in on the signing of Lazio's Keita Balde Diao, a player generally considered to be Perisic's replacement.
Inter have issued a hands-off warning to United in recent days, however, leaving boss Jose Mourinho to concede that he has "no idea" if the wideman will be joining.
