Are Shraddha and Prabhas charging this huge amount for Saaho?

Makers confirm Shraddha Kapoor as Prabhas’ leading lady in Saaho

Along with being the actor's second project after Baahubali 2, speculations about many actresses playing the lead started doing rounds. "Saaho" will mark the Hindi debut of the Baahubali star as the trilingual film will be simultaneously shot in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. "His role is completely different from "Baahubali" and post that he's also raised his market price from Rs 25 crore to Rs 30 crore (approx) and deservingly so", the source added. Earlier, reports suggested that Shraddha asked for an eye-popping number as her remuneration which the makers didn't agree to, and hence, ended up being out of the race. Several actresses were int he running, Pooja Hegde especially. The actor is getting paid 30 crore for the film while the actress Shraddha Kapoor is being paid merely 9 crores.

Producers (Vamsi and Pramod) of UV Creations confirmed the news saying, "Shraddha is absolutely the ideal choice for the role. We are very excited to have her on board with us." stated the makers while speaking with a leading tabloid. Reports suggest, both are being paid a steep fee. After the release of Baahubali Prabhas increased his fees. Sadly, that didn't happen as Anushka had scheduling problems, having given away the bulk of her dates to a big-budget Tamil film. Yet another case of gender disparity in the film industry. The film is a bilingual which will be shot in Telugu and Hindi, and the makers did not hesitate to invest in her because of her fan following in Bollywood.

From what we hear, Saaho is slated to go on floor from mid-August and will also be shot extensively in overseas locations like Romania and Abu Dhabi. Prabhas is expected to join the sets by mid-August.
