Bears WR Cam Meredith Suffers Gruesome Leg Injury

After going through the majority of the offseason and training camp with very few injuries, the bug bit the Bears against the Titans Sunday. He had two catches for 44 yards before being hurt on Sunday and had two catches for 26 yards in the team's previous game.

Meredith's injury is the biggest with the most impact, as his torn ACL will undoubtedly keep him out until this time next preseason.

Meredith, a third-year player from Illinois State, was supposed to be the Bears' top receiving target this season. With Alshon Jeffrey departing for Philadelphia in free agency Meredith and first round pick Kevin White were due to start in Chicago this year.

The Bears announced Meredith will not return to the game. Jacksonville's Allen Hurns is a trade candidate approaching roster cuts, and other veterans could find themselves out the door as rosters go from 90 men to 53 next week.

The Chicago Bears have looked impressive against the Tennessee Titans, but the NFC North franchise has suffered several losses on Sunday afternoon.
