The new phone Gionee X1 price in India is Rs.8,999.

Chinese smartphone maker Gionee has today launched its latest Gionee X1 smartphone in India for Rs 8,999. There is 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage that can be expanded via microSD card slot.

Business Intelligence and Planning, Gionee India said, "Gionee has always been committed to amaze its customers with premium quality products at attractive prices". We are not so sure the Gionee X1 may make it past Nougat.

Furthermore, first-time grabbers of the Gionee's X1 handset are liable to receive up to 10GB additional data per month for up to 6 successive recharges, most especially if they are Airtel Subscribers.

The phone is available for purchase at all leading offline retailers. The capacitive navigation buttons are placed on the front, and the fingerprint sensor is placed on the rear. The Gionee X1 has a 5-inch IPS display with HD resolution of 1280 x 720, resulting in a pixel density of 294 pixels per inch, and a 3,000mAh battery. Gionee will also be giving two Paytm cashback vouchers worth Rs.250 that can be used when making a purchase of minimum Rs.350 on Paytm mall.

In terms of design, the Gionee X1 sports a metal unibody design with a metal frame all around, giving it an overall premium look. It is powered by MT6737 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with Mali-T720 MP2 GPU. The both front and rear camera has 8 MP, the difference is rear camera offers flash. It also has 8 megapixels front camera with front LED flash.

Its connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, Bluetooth, WLAN, USB OTG, and Micro-USB. Also, there are a bunch of basic sensors on the device like accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. The weight of the handset has not been specified but it measures 144.3 x 72.2 x 8.8mm in size.

The device runs on Amigo 4.0 wrapped under Android 7.0 Nougat OS.
