Playboy Magazine Founder, Hugh Hefner, Dies at 91

Hugh Hefner: Late Playboy founder's Black Country wife 'inherits nothing of multi-million pound fortune'

Kendra Wilkinson, Hugh Hefner, and Bridget Marquardt in 2007. The blonde beauty, 32 - who starred on Hef's hit E! reality series, Girls Next Door, from 2005 to 2009 - shared her condolences for the pop culture icon in a statement to the Associated Press.

"So sad but forever grateful for all the wonderful memories and incredible experiences #RIPHef #Playboy", tweeted Bridget Marquardt, who starred with Hefner - and girlfriends Holly Madison and Kendra Wilkinson - on reality show "Girls Next Door" on E!

"If you were still a boy, in nearly a Peter Pan kind of way, and could have just the flawless life that you wanted to have, that's the life I invented for myself".

Former playmate Candace Jordan told WGN Morning News, "when I woke up this morning, it [was] the first time in my adult life that Hugh Hefner has not been a part of it". Asked by The New York Times in 1992 of what he was proudest, Hefner said: "That I changed attitudes toward sex". You will be greatly missed! Apart from this, another Indian-origin model Shanti Dynamite who also claims that she has also posed for Playboy magazine is said to have done a hot and steamy photoshoot. "I'll celebrate you forever!"

But the entrepreneur was also a staunch advocate for gay rights in his lifetime - particularly at a time when famous heterosexual allies were few. "You gave me life", Anderson wrote alongside a video of herself crying on her bed. "I will forever be grateful". "Thank you for making the world a better place". We had so many fun & incredible memories together.

Playboy magazine is known for its sensuous covers and hot pictures.

Much of the press coverage of Hefner's death has focused on the two sides to his legacy, pitting sleaziness against the way he opened American sexual attitudes.

WireImage Hugh Hefner and Holly Madison arrive at Spike TV's 2nd Annual Guys Choice Awards on May 29, 2008 in Los Angeles.
