Doctor responds to argument in viral video

WATCH: Florida Doctor Assaults Woman, Seizing Phone, for Recording him Throwing Mother out of Office

Jessica Stipe said in a post on Facebook that she had an appointment for 6:30 p.m. Monday at Gainesville After Hours Clinic.

Gainesville police are investigating the incident as grand theft because of the allegations that the doctor took the daughter's phone, but officers would not comment on the investigation, which is still open.

In the video, Stipe is seen telling the doctor that they should tell people with appointments when they won't be seen in a "timely manner". She said the clinic had taken a urine sample, but by 7:45 p.m., she was still waiting to be seen. By 7:45 was not seen still in severe pain and throwing up in the trash can.

"All they had me do was pee in a cup to see if I'm pregnant. ummm I know I'm not", she wrote.

That's when she chose to confront her doctor, at about 7:45 p.m., she wrote, in an argument that quickly escalated and allegedly resulted in her daughter getting shoved.

Stipe said. She alleged in her post that when she asked for her co-pay back, the doctor became angry and "proceeded to cuss (her) out".

"Are you kidding me?" "Get your money and get the hell out".

As Stipe and her daughter leave, the doctor asks if he's being recorded before snatching the cell phone. "What's your name (doctor)?" At that point, Gollogly grabs the girl's phone and walks away with it before the video ends.

Then, Stipe's daughter, recording the exchange, can be heard saying "Okay, you can get out of her face".

However, Gallogly appeared to have a different story, the Miami Herald reported.

As the video gained steam, Gallogly on Wednesday released a statement, along with statements from his staff and the police report.

"Ms. Stipe had been increasingly belligerent and abusive to the office staff, cursing and threatening them with violence, because she was unwell and had been waiting to see me for more than an hour", Gallogly says in his statement, according to CBS 4.

He added: "I went to the front desk only because after Ms. Stipe received her refund, she refused to leave the office, and continued her abusive behavior towards staff".

He doesn't defend his behavior but claims he lost his temper: 'While not an excuse for my behavior, a basic reason for my reaction is that I simply regard my staff as family, and I over-reacted to defend them'.
