Wenger on injuries, Sanchez, Chambers, Overmars, Merson

Alexis Sanchez could be heading to Real Madrid

Manchester City are eyeing a cut-price January deal for Alexis Sanchez but are unwilling to go beyond £20 million to land the Arsenal contract rebel.

In fact, in the transfer market last summer, the team based on Manchester City had bargained the Chilean worldwide player for GBP60 million (about IDR1 trillion) but Arsenal at that time did not want to release him.

Sanchez's move to Manchester City seems an inevitability, and Ozil has so far refused every offer on the table amidst criticism of his performances from ex-players. Wenger believes that the physical nature of the game could have had an effect on Sanchez.

Guardiola managed Sanchez at Barcelona and failed with his attempt to lure the Chilean to City this summer.

"I have concerns. I will decide tomorrow what I will do", said the Frenchman on Thursday.

Wenger is confident Sanchez and Ramsey's club form, however, will not be affected.

"But Alexis is just one step below".

"Both [Ozil and Alexis] look happy here and overall I hope that the situation can be turned around". He's courted by many teams.

It's expected Sanchez will leave Arsenal at the end of the season, which will lead to a scramble to sign the forward. Surely Arsene Wenger wouldn't consider selling the Chilean then.

Should Arsenal sell Sanchez in January?

Sanchez, simply put, is an attraction. Who knows, maybe he could even convince them to sign another deal at the club?

"That's also one of the reasons why I wanted to come to Arsenal - to play with players of [Alexis'] calibre", Lacazette recently told the club's website.

Meanwhile, Wenger said he would be speaking to Sanchez to assess his mental state after the striker and his Chile side missed out on a place at next year's World Cup finals. "His approach makes me want to play alongside him - hopefully for many years".
