OH man tried to trade chicken Alfredo, Sprite for sex with minor

NEWS Man accused of offering Chicken Alfredo Sprite for sex with teen He also sent nude

He is facing charges of importuning (offering services as a prostitute), disseminating material harmful or obscene to juveniles, possession of criminal tools and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, according to the Mahoning County Sheriff's Office. He asked for a public defender and is due back in court January 3, court records show. The officer identified himself as a 15-year-old boy. The undercover cop told him he was underage, but Maruna allegedly told him that he did not believe in age, according to Fox 8.

Conversations with Maruna began on December 5 after Maruna responded to a posting on a dating application, according to a police report. I don't believe in age.

During an interview with police, Maruna admitted his intent, and did "not deem having sex with a consenting 15-year-old as wrong", the report said. The communication continued via text messaging, according to the police report.

'You are my one and only, ' Maruna told the officer.

He also engaged in sexually explicit chats with the officer, it was alleged. Maruna told the teen he would arrive at the juvenile's home at noon on Tuesday and would be driving a gray Ford Escape.

Police reportedly found other sexually graphic conversations on Maruna's cell phone, and investigators are working to determine the ages of those involved in the conversations.

For about a week, Maruna maintained contact with police, continually sending explicit messages that detailed his sexual intentions, and photos of his genitalia, the report said. Prior to that, back in April, a 65-year-old man was arrested for promoting prostitution, along with two younger women, who were charged with soliciting sex.
