Trump fumes over Russian Federation dossier: 'Crooked Hillary pile of garbage'

Francis-Rooney

"WOW", Trump tweeted, tagging and apparently quoting his favorite show "Fox and Friends" Tuesday.

President Donald Trump continued his assault on his chief law enforcement agency on Monday by calling the FBI "tainted" because it has reportedly included a salacious dossier about the president in the investigation into Russia's interference in the USA election.

President Trump on Tuesday slammed the repudiated Russian Federation dossier that was funded by the Democratic Party and helped fuel investigations into whether his presidential campaign colluded with the Kremlin, calling it a "Crooked Hillary pile of garbage". The Facebook ads from a Russian troll imply that the Russian propaganda campaign of 2016 didn't favour either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton in many instances.

The president weighed in on Twitter, in response to a Washington Times report that was discussed on "Fox & Friends".

Special counsel Robert Mueller has obtained guilty pleas from two Trump associates, including former national security advisor Mike Flynn, for lying to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The 35-page document was reportedly circulating in Washington for months before BuzzFeed took the controversial decision in January 2017 to publish its entirety.

That report stated that the FBI was declining to repudiate the dossier, which it partially relied on during its investigation of the Trump campaign during the election.

Trump's lawyers continue to predict that Mueller is wrapping up his probe as it relates to anyone in the White House. Its murky origins have been revealed to include a Republican donor who hired political intelligence firm Fusion GPS.

The dossier also included salacious claims about the president's alleged sexual habits and was assembled by an ex-British spy named Christopher Steele.
