Conte Casts Doubt On His Chelsea Future As Leicester Visit

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte “will not forget” Jose Mourinho’s comments

Jose Mourinho insists he does not like to row with opposing managers, despite his well-publicised feud with Chelsea boss Antonio Conte.

He told reporters, "I have another year of (my) contract with this club".

"Baba is recovering from an injury and I haven't had the possibility to see him in training with us, only once or twice, but he wasn't ready to have a full training session with us", said Conte.

The Portuguese had scorned Ranieri's use of English but wore a training shirt to a press conference with CR embossed on it when Ranieri was sacked as Leicester manager last February.

On Friday, Mourinho said he felt "contempt" for Conte and their ugly relationship.

Nevertheless, if Conte successfully convinces the hierarchy of the defender's worth soon, there could be a showdown in the current window featuring Chelsea and Man Utd, with both clubs possessing vast financial prospects.

Mourinho says he doesn't enjoy his wars with other managers, despite the former Real Madrid and Inter Milan coach having picked on Arsene Wenger, Jurgen Klopp and Rafael Benitez in the past.

Conte called Mourinho a "little man" earlier this month after the United boss brought up his suspension as part of a match-fixing investigation while he was with Juventus.

"When I start [feuds] I take the responsibilities of that, and I've started [them] many times", Mourinho said.

That pointed comment was perceived to be aimed at the animated Conte, who responded by claiming Mourinho must have "demenza senile" - senile dementia.

"I think that, maybe, in the next game against Norwich he could be available and in contention".

The former Juventus and Italy boss, whose side are third in the table, said that goes with the territory of working at Chelsea and does not happen at other clubs.

'But, really, I don't enjoy.

Mourinho is hopeful that Zlatan Ibrahimovic can return to fitness in around three weeks following a relapse in his recovery from a serious knee problem.

"I just think at the end of the year, personally, I'd be surprised if he is still there next season".
