Former Disney star Adam Hicks arrested for armed robbery

Burbank police arrested former Disney star Adam Hicks, 25, and his girlfriend, 23-year-old actress Danni Tamburro, for several armed street robberies on January 24, according to a press release from the Burbank Police Department. The Disney XD sitcom lasted for three seasons before being canceled in 2012. He's due in court Friday. He also had roles in other Disney projects, and appeared in "The Boy Next Door" with Jennifer Lopez.

A young actor who starred in a Disney sitcom and is a regular on a Hulu series has been arrested and charged in a string of armed robberies. Tamburro, Hick's supposed girlfriend, has no arrests on her record at the moment, but the police often say it's rare for people to commit egregious first-time offenses. Two of the victims were women in their 70s, TMZ reported.

According to the ABC affiliate, the first incident occurred at 5:15 a.m., when a 52-year-old man was walking around Burbank Boulevard and Griffith Park Drive was robbed with a male armed with a gun. He fled and was unharmed.

Officers were able to track the getaway auto, a dark-colored Kia, to the 1600 block of Scott Road where they were also able to detain a female who is reportedly connected to a suspect.

"The suspect pointed the handgun at the victim and demanded his wallet", Burbank Police Sgt. Derek Green said. The officers recovered some of the stolen property at the scene. BuzzFeed reports that Burbank Police arrested Hicks after a string of armed robberies in Burbank, California led them to his auto and house. Additional stolen propriety was located on the premises, police said.

One arrest was for firing a gun in July.
