Former 'Glee' actor Mark Salling dead at 35

The former "Glee" star had recently pled guilty to possession of child pornography, according to THR. The papers state he used software to mask his IP address, but twice showed some of his collection to an adult woman, who reported him to police. He is survived by his mother and father, and his brother. He was expected to get a sentence of between four and seven years in prison.

Salling, who starred on Glee from 2009-15, was arrested in 2015 after authorities said they found more than 25,000 images and 600 videos depicting child pornography on computers and thumb drives owned by the actor. His plea deal meant he would've spent just 4 - 7 years behind bars.

In December, Salling plead guilty to possessing child pornography in a federal courtroom in Los Angeles.

Salling shot to fame playing Noah "Puck" Puckerman in the hit FOX series Glee.

TMZ reports that Salling - who was 35-years-old - was said to have been found near a riverbed in Sunland, where he lived. He had upwards of 50,000 images of underage children, according to prosecutors.

Glee producer Tim Davis has responded to the news of Salling's death, writing on Twitter: "Today we lost another #Glee cast member".

Troubled actor Mark Salling has died from a suspected suicide.

Shortly after the plea agreement in October, Salling allegedly attempted suicide by cutting his wrists.

Born in Denver on August 17, 1982, Salling found a unique outlet for his lifelong interest in music on "Glee", a musical comedy series following the members of a high-school glee club that ran for six seasons, concluding in 2015.

Salling was required to register as a sex offender and had to go into a treatment program.

But while when Cory Monteith died from a drug overdose, fans mourned and were deeply affected, in Salling's case, they are a lot more unsure what to feel due to the very serious accusations against him.
