LG unveils 4K projector capable of outputting 150-inch projection

CES 2018 kicks off next week, we are expecting to see a range of new gadgets, one of those will be the new LG 4K UHD Projector. Among the new projectors is the brand's first 4K UHD projector HU80kA that does not look like its peers. This is a projector that is capable of projecting a 4K resolution on a surface and can even go up to 150-inches, meaning that you could cover your entire wall with images or videos.

Users have the option to hang the projector to the ceiling or simply place it on the floor.

LG says that its the design and build "gives the projector the capability to show flawless images whether it is placed on the ground, mounted on the wall or hanging from the ceiling". There are two 7-watt speakers built into the projector which would be fine for casual watching but if you want the immersion, it is recommended that you hook the projector up to an external speaker system via optical, HDMI or Bluetooth. Sadly, the details about the projector do not mention Dolby Vision. Considering the LG Full HD projectors top out at 2,000 lumens that's an impressive jump up for this beast of a unit.

"At this year's CES event, we are excited to bring value to consumers with our first 4K UHD projector, which delivers the highest resolution we've ever offered in a compact size", said Chang Ik-hwan, head of LG's IT business division. "LG's 4K UHD projector will lead the way in changing how consumers view 4K content in any room in the home, wherever there's an audience".

LG said the new HU80KA projector is at par or excels its competitors while still sporting smaller dimensions.

So how much is the LG HU80KA and when can we get hold of it?
