Pakistani community in UAE observes Kashmir solidarity day

All set to observe Kashmir Solidarity Day on Feb 5

The JuD chief further said the Pakistan government should not ignore the "atrocities" in Kashmir and play its role to help the Kashmiri people secure freedom. Even Kashmiri prisoners are denied suitable medical aid in prisons.

The day saw special prayers in mosques for progress and prosperity of Pakistan, eternal peace of the martyrs of Kashmiri struggle and liberation of all occupied territories, including Indian-held Kashmir and Palestine.

"Kashmir and Palestine are the two oldest issues on the UN agenda and UN resolutions on the Kashmir issue clearly state that the Kashmiri people will decide their fate in a UN supervised plebiscite".

Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) in a statement said its activists raised flags and banners and marched at several places on Monday.

A short documentary on the Kashmir solidarity Day was screened as well.

"The need of the hour is to counter the Indian concocted stand on Kashmir at the global forums", Aasiya said.

Other speakers included Kashmiri-American activists - Dr. Rizwan Kadir and Babar Rathor - who apprised the audience of historical facts about the Kashmir dispute s well as the plight of Kashmiri people under Indian occupation.

The embassy of Pakistan in Tehran observed Kashmir Solidarity Day on Monday to express unity with the Kashmiri people who have always been struggling for self-determination in northern India.

In a statement, DFP said that party's incarcerated chief Shabir Ahmad Shah has always appreciated the support of Pakistan towards the freedom struggle of Kashmiris at diplomatic, political and moral fronts.

The CM assured the Kashmiri people that the people of Pakistan will never abandon their unflinching support for them.

The Pakistani community in United Arab Emirates (UAE) gathered on Monday to express solidarity with the dwellers of held Kashmir and assure support to their right to self determination.

Later, a rally was also held outside the KMC Building at M.A Jinnah Road to show the commitment and solidarity with the Kashmiri people.
