Mother being picked up by Border Patrol officials caught on camera

The U.S. Customs & Border Protection Agency doesn't make immigrants feel great when they do nonsense like this. That's why we need to hold their feet to the fire

In the video you can hear sounds of her three young daughters, all USA citizens screaming as she was taken away. The daughters, who appeared to be teenagers, shrieked and sobbed as the van drove away.

"Where is she going?" one of the girls, who all appear to be teens, sobs as the auto drives away with her mother.

Prado said Morales was walking near her home with her three daughters last Saturday in National City, just south of San Diego, when the arrest occurred.

Morales-Luna, 36, is a single mother who came to the USA from Mexico when she was 15 years old, Moreno said.

In a tweet, San Diego's Customs and Border Protection said: "Perla Morales-Luna was identified as an organiser for a transnational criminal smuggling organisation operating in East County, San Diego".

Teaching aide Judith Castro-Gonzalez posted the video to Facebook on Thursday, according to CBS Los Angeles, reportedly stating that one of Morales-Luna's daughters was her student.

In the video you can hear the woman screaming as agents take her into custody. "If there weren't uniformed agents, it would resemble a kidnapping".

She told NBC 7: "Honestly I couldn't watch the whole thing".

CBP officials did not respond to criticism of the way Morales-Luna was detained and did not clarify what type of smuggling she is suspected of. A spokesperson for Border Patrol told the Los Angeles Times that Morales-Luna will be transferred to Immigration and Customs Enforcement to start removal proceedings.

Rios, whose organization is working with the family, said Morales-Luna's daughters are in the custody of an uncle. "It probably happens on a much more regular basis than we know about".

Her daughters are now with their aunt, according to NBC7.

Perla Morales-Luna tried to hold onto a woman's arm as she was dragged away. "No more separation from families!"

Immigrants in the country illegally and their families have been on edge as deportation arrests have spiked more than 40 percent under Trump.
