Actress Sri Reddy goes for half n**e and protests on road

Controversial actress Sri Reddy on Saturday morning created flutter when she went nude (topless) at the Film Nagar's film chamber office in Hyderabad.

Sri Reddy's public tirade encouraged a few other new actresses, who too claimed to be the victims in the film industry. However, she wasted no time to remove her top wear and started accusing both Movie Artists Association and Producers Association for not giving her membership despite the fact that she acted in many movies and also produced three films. Soon after the Harvey Weinston scandal in Hollywood, a number of Bollywood and South Indian film actors have come out and spoken about it.

According to her statistic, about 90 percent of the women in the film industry would have faced the evils of casting couch.

She further alleged that people from industry demand nude pictures and videos from the aspiring actresses and even after sending many of those clips to producers and filmmakers, she still is struggling to get a good role in the films.

Meanwhile talking to the channel, Reddy had said, "For how long they will delay membership to me?"

Calling herself a victim of sexual exploitation, Reddy said, "They see the videos and give no roles". She said that this was her way of expressing grief.

A police officer told reporters that she could register a complaint but a naked protest was not allowed.

Claiming herself to be a victim of casting couch, Sri said in her interviews with the local TV channels that numerous upcoming heroines were suffering silently.

In a series of tweets, Sekhar pleaded innocent to her accusations. "APOLOGIZE and take back every word that was posted against me or be ready to face legal action, which will include criminal/civil proceedings", he wrote.

She also demanded the formation of a Movie Artists Association exclusively for women, "There is no grievance redressal committee in the present association". What do you have to say about Sri Reddy's "bare minimum" protest?
