Internet 'losing its mind' after Fox cancels 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine'

Despite a rabid fan base and critical acclaim, Fox has chose to cancel its comedy series Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

Surprising and angering fans, Fox this week announced the cancelation of the cult comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine, but the show may live again.

The show, which debuted in 2013, starred an ensemble cast featuring the likes of Andy Samberg, Terry Crews and Andre Braugher.

As expected, Nine-Nine lovers came in swarms to express their discontent about the news, more so grieving the loss of a show that gave a voice to relative and diverse narratives.

"The Mick" and Will Forte's "The Last Man on Earth" have also been canceled. These last 5 years have been incredible.

Possibly the most frustrating thing about the show's cancellation is the fact that the fourth season ended with a cliffhanger.

Deadline reports that Hulu is now eyeing bringing Brooklyn Nine-Nine to the streaming service.

Fans were furious to hear that Fox axed the comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Co-creators Goor and Mike Schur were behind NBC's Parks and Recreation, also known for its quirky but universal humor.

Another named Hannah encouraged fans of the show to sign her petition, stating that: 'Brooklyn nine nine was cancelled by Fox. Netflix is in the market for making great TV, and there's a great show on the market.

That's right - not only is Hulu possibly interested in resurrecting FOX's recently-deceased series (as they did previously with The Mindy Project), but that "other outlets" are also sniffing around the property.

Within minutes, #Brooklyn99 was the top trending topic on Twitter, propelled by fans - including Lin-Manuel Miranda - who angrily mourned the fallen show and demanded Fox reconsider.

Fortunately, hope remains as there is a chance that the series could find a different home in the form of another network or streaming service.
