30-year-old evicted by parents meets deadline to leave home

A 30-year-old USA man evicted from his parents' home in a court battle has finally moved out - after calling the police on his dad in a row about Lego.

The 30-year-old upstate NY man who was evicted from his parents' home has finally left, hours before a court-ordered deadline.

According to the Syracuse.com report, Rotondo moved all of his belongings from the home, including a Volkswagon Passat that had been sitting in his parents' driveway, untouched for months.

Michael also wants to make it clear - he's a responsible gun owner and there should be no concern about him having a gun while he packs up and moves out.

"Rotondo said he called the cops because he believed his son's Legos were in the basement and his dad - who is evicting him - wouldn't let him look for them".

The move caps a brief rush of celebrity for Rotondo, whose parents pleaded with him to move out and get a job and even offered him money to leave. The Legos were found after police arrived.

The eviction drama began on February 2 when the parents left their first note, saying Michael had two weeks to vacate his room at the family's Camillus home.

During his vehicle trouble, he told reporters he said goodbye "more or less" to his parents before jumping into his rumbling station wagon.

Rotondo had moved out before the 12 p.m. ET court-ordered deadline. And sadly, other Michael Rotondos got caught in the crossfire - including one who also happens to hail from central NY, in Albany.

Calls made to Mark and Christina Rotondo's home Friday were not answered.

Michael Rotondo has told local media he is battling for custody of his son.

"This isn't a game show", Rotondo said, explaining to the newspaper why he called police. "I don't have to guess what's behind door number one".

Michael - who hauled dozens of boxes of his junk into a storage facility Wednesday and Thursday - now plans to crash at an Airbnb he booked for about week until he can find something more permanent.
