Google’s "Pixel Stand" For Pixel 3 LEAKS: Not Your Average Wireless Charger!

Once on the dock users can keep accessing Google Assistant to access all information even when it’s locked

"I am not the owner of the device, I just took the pictures when I saw it", dr.guru wrote.

The leaker, dr.guru, said they couldn't boot the phone because it had been remotely wiped by Google; however, the fastboot screen that came up indicated the device came with 4GB RAM and 64GB of onboard storage - similar to what's offered in the current-gen Pixel 2 XL. This houses dual front-facing cameras as well as one of two speakers, with the second placed in the handset's thicker chin. Unlike previous Pixel phones, the Pixel 3 is widely believed to feature wireless charging this time around with the source of the leak saying that the rear panel is entirely made of glass, unlike the Pixel 2 XL with its glass and metal design.

The Google Pixel 3 probably has no headphone jack, and runs with the "notch" trend up front.

Reference to the Pixel Stand has been found deep in the code for a new version of the Google app, so as rumors go, this one is fairly plausible. Presumably, there's nothing to stop the Pixel Stand working with any number of wireless charging Android phones - but we suspect it will have the "Pixel exclusive" label attached at launch.

Now, more information about the Pixel Stand suggests that the device would not only act as a wireless charger but also help turn the phone into an assistant-powered smart screen.

If Google runs with the schedule they've had in the past, they'll reveal the Google Pixel 3 at the beginning of October 2018.

Earlier reports did say that the Pixel 3 phones will sport a glass sandwich design to support wireless charging.

The Pixel 3 XL will have a notch on the display and only one rear camera.
