LeBron James: Joining the Lakers a 'Dream Come True'

When LeBron James chose to leave the Cleveland Cavaliers in free agency for the second time, he was not met with as much pushback or criticism as the first time around.

On Sunday, James tweeted that he was a bundle of nerves waiting for that first school bell. The I Promise School has a longer school day and longer school year.

One little game cancellation can't keep LeBron James away from his son's tournament, and it apparently can't deter Dwyane Wade, either. Anyone who buys one of the shoes will have their name enshrined on the I Promise School sneaker wall as well. The two men met at James' Los Angeles-area house at the start of free agency, with James' agent and fellow Akron native, Rich Paul of Klutch Sports group, also taking part. It was important for the foundation to help us and to look at something bigger. "Basically, more than they know themselves".

"You look at the Lakers", he said. Along with an opportunity at a proper education, students will also be treated to a special display when they first walk in that honors the school's founder in a very fitting way. I went through the same emotions.

James, 33, moved to the city earlier in July after signing a four-year deal with the LA Lakers basketball team worth $154m (£116m). LeBron said playing for a franchise drenched in championship history, even though they haven't sniffed the postseason in years, was a situation he simply could not pass up at this stage of his career.

Most recently James has been locked in pre-season training with his new franchise the Los Angeles Lakers as gernal Manger, and National Basketball Association great, Magic Johnson looks to piece together a super team to unravel the dynasty of the Golden State Warriors. "And for it all to come to fruition at this point, I think timing is everything".
