Maisie Williams Bids A Gory Goodbye To ‘Game Of Thrones’

Maisie Williams as Arya Stark in Game of Thrones

Goodbye Arya. Goodbye Game of Thrones, ' she captioned the post.

Emmy-nominated actress Maisie Williams, who plays the defiant Arya Stark on HBO's "Game of Thrones", this weekend posted a photo of her bloodied sneakers to her 7.7 million followers on Instagram. "Hopped on a boat to an island to say goodbye to the land that has been my home away from home for nearly a decade", read her Instagram post. Does this mean Arya will be the "last woman standing" in the events of Game of Thrones? The speculation comes along with Game of Thrones actress Lena Headey's own comment, calling Williams a "queen".

Others have noted that the phrase could mean she was the last person to shoot a scene, which doesn't mean it will be the last scene of the season.

A girl is one character in particular to watch once the next season of Game of Thrones finally arrives - and boy we've got a whole lot of waiting to do until we get to see her again.

"Hopped on a boat to an island to say goodbye to the land that has been my home away from home for nearly a decade, ' Clarke said". She's also been nominated for an Emmy for her performance on the series.

Game of Thrones season 8 airs on Sky Atlantic and HBO from April 2019.

The photos were taken just as Arya Stark herself, Maisie Williams, revealed that she had wrapped on the set she's called home for the past decade.

"That would be bad if I got the ending tattooed on my body, just before the last season came out", she told Digital Spy.
