Florida police encouraged to boycott Dolphins games

NFL player responds to Trump's tweet: 'What a goober'

The NFL's national anthem issue isn't going away anytime soon, but Kenny Stills thinks he knows one way the league could start to mend fences with its players. "If you have already purchased a ticket to this game, we encourage you to call the Dolphins ticket office to request a refund because this organization does not honor first responders and the danger they put themselves in every day".

Mr. Trump, who triggered an uproar a year ago after condemning players protesting social injustice, lashed out again after two Miami Dolphins players took a knee during a pre-season game on Thursday.

"The NFL players are at it again - taking a knee when they should be standing proudly for the National Anthem", the president wrote.

The Palm Beach Country Police Benevolent Association posted the same message on its Facebook page.

The NFL announced a new policy during the offseason stating players have the option to stay in the locker room during the anthem.

The post stated that its members were also offered game ticket discounts because the team had previously said players who protest could be suspended up to four games. "Among several players who protested during Thursday's games included Malcolm Jenkins, who raised a fist during the anthem".

After Thursday's protests, the NFL said the league's anthem policy is still on hold while it talks with the players association.

While Trump may not be able to suspend National Football League players, we guarantee he'll continue tweeting about the issue throughout the entire season so he can distract his racist fans from seeing how much of a dumpster fire his administration has been.

The protests came months after team owners reacted to public backlash in May by issuing a policy requiring that all team personnel who decide to be on the field during the song "shall stand and show respect for the flag and the Anthem".

But, that wasn't the most pointed Tweet at the president from Jordan.
