Michael Jordan says 'I support' LeBron James after Trump attack

From NFL players taking a knee on the field in protest of racial injustice to President Trump insulting LeBron James on Twitter, athletes have become increasingly entwined in politics over the past few years. James had said worse about the president.

James is considered by many to be the greatest player in basketball history, rivaled by Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan.

Although Lemon had tweeted a short response following Trump's tweet - "Who's the real dummy?"

James had criticized Trump before the February remarks that raised Ingraham's ire, and he has continued to do so, most recently in late July, when he told CNN's Don Lemon that the president has "used sport" to "divide" people.

'LeBron puts children through school. In response, Fox News pundit Laura Ingraham dedicated a segment to chiding James for discussing politics at all while a professional athlete.

Trump puts them in cages. "I support you but this is unacceptable, you need to apologize immediately, ' wrote Wesley Cantrell".

"So let me get this straight: Flint, Missouri, has dirty water still, but you anxious about an interview about a man doing good for education and generations of kids in his hometown?" he asked the president on Twitter. "Think about that. Is this who we really are?".
