Tiemoue Bakayoko close to AC Milan loan move from Chelsea

Jose Mourinho

AC Milan are expected to complete the loan deal for the Frenchman, in a bid to further bolster their squad options.

After replacing former boss Antonio Conte so late in the summer, the Italian will surely have been hoping to have concluded more business by now.

Croatia worldwide midfielder Mateo Kovacic has said that it feels "amazing" to have completed a one-year loan move to Chelsea from Real Madrid.

According to Sky in Italy, Bakayoko could join the Serie A outfit as the Blues are dealing with a packed midfield consisting of N'Golo Kante, Jorginho, Cesc Fabregas, Ross Barkley, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Danny Drinkwater.

England global Drinkwater is also facing added competition for places 12 months after a big-money transfer, with it possible that he could be offloaded before the latest deadline passes.

Tiemoue Bakayoko was present in games during Chelsea's pre-season but has left Maurizio Sarri unimpressed.

Competition in midfield may become even fiercer as Chelsea have been linked with a loan deal for Real Madrid's Mateo Kovacic ahead of tomorrow's transfer deadline day.

Everton are reportedly keen on Chelsea's Tiemoue Bakayoko.

The French midfielder only joined Chelsea last summer in a £40m deal from Monaco.

AC Milan, on the other hand, are looking to add a player of Bakayoko's quality to their side after an already impressive transfer window which has seen them acquire Gonzalo Higuain and Mattia Caldara from Juventus.
