Another suspicious package addressed to CNN

MAGA bomber suspect Cesar Sayoc was banned from mother's home over his support of Trump

Although authorities did not immediately say who might be responsible for the most recent package to CNN, the Federal Bureau of Investigation said it believes the package discovered Monday is similar to those that Sayoc is accused of sending.

The first of last week's 14 bombs turned up on October 22 in the mailbox of billionaire Democratic donor George Soros' home in the suburb of Katonah, New York.

The FBI said via its Twitter account that the recovered package in Atlanta was "similar in appearance" to the bubble-wrapped manila envelopes authorities say were sent by Sayoc to intended targets from DE to California, including former President Barack Obama, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and former Vice-President Joe Biden.

Cesar Sayoc, suspected of mailing at least 15 pipe bombs to prominent Democrats, was just getting started, according to law enforcement sources who say they found a "hit list" of over 100 names in his Trump-spangled van. A judge will hold a hearing Friday on whether Sayoc can be released on bail.

The official said investigators are scrutinizing the social media posts of 56-year-old Cesar Sayoc, who is due to appear in federal court Monday.

Sayoc will be prosecuted in NY rather than Miami.

Balsamo reported from Washington.

Zucker says all mail to CNN has been screened offsite since last week, when a series of package bombs began appearing around the country. The package addressed to Holder had the wrong address and was "returned" to Schultz's office.

On Monday, following the interception of the suspicious package in Atlanta, Zucker said the same protocol would have applied in that incident.

That package was addressed to former Central Intelligence Agency director John Brennan, who actually works for NBC.

Prosecutors have filed five federal charges against Mr. Sayoc, who faces up to 48 years in prison if convicted on all charges.

The FBI said that the bomb squad is responding to the package found on Pryor Street in downtown Atlanta.

"This morning, another suspicious package addressed to CNN was intercepted at an Atlanta post office".

"Though we are still analyzing the devices in our laboratories, these are not hoax devices", FBI Director Christopher Wray said in a press conference last Friday.

If America hoped President Donald Trump would scale back his attacks on his perceived opponents after they started finding in bombs in their mail, we were disappointed.
