Chaser projects Alan Jones’ ad and phone number onto Sydney Opera House

Jones had called for Ms Herron to be sacked during a testy confrontation on Friday after she ruled out allowing words or branding highlighting The Everest race to be projected onto the Opera House because "it's not a billboard".

The barrier draw will be published at 7.30pm on Tuesday night.

"To avoid any perceived integrity risk, Racing NSW has determined that all betting on the 2018 The TAB Everest be suspended commencing at 12pm today (9 October 2018), until the final barriers have been publicly displayed this evening", Racing NSW said in a statement.

Racing NSW, the race organizer, had planned to project the draw live on to the Opera House.

Political manipulator Jones, whose superpower is to be able to wrap gutless Liberal Party politicians around his little orifice, is behind the verbal bullying of Opera House CEO Louise Herron.

He added that he did not believe his actions "qualify as those of a bully or a misogynist but there are clearly many people who do", and that he would be writing to Herron later in the day.

Some 240,000 people have now signed a Change.org petition calling for the promotion to be stopped.

Brisbane-based outdoor operator, Goa, has dived into the controversial debate over Racing NSW's upcoming use of the Opera House as a billboard.

'The point is, this place belong to all of us and if you flog them off to the highest bidder you tear up the fabric of a city, ' Mr Aly said.

When asked whether projecting the promotion onto the sails was legal, a spokesman for Heritage Minister Gabrielle Upton pointed to the same exemptions they had been questioned over.

Mr Quint said the government still hadn't explained how projecting advertising onto the sails adhered to the exemptions.

The Opera House sails have been used in art installations and to advertise events such as the Rugby Union World Cup, but not for commercial advertising.

In the letter, Heritage Council chair Stephen Davies said the decision goes against existing management policy and may impact the UNESCO expectation for World Heritage sites.
