EPL: Guardiola speaks on coaching another English club

Pep Guardiola

Manchester City's Spanish manager Pep Guardiola says it would be impossible for him to ever manage another team in England and says he is now a Mancunian for life.

City had made a disastrous start to the Champions League with a shock defeat at home to Lyon but have now moved top after following up their win over Hoffenheim with a victory in Ukraine. It is better to say after 10 years I remember this final and how well we played, to remember the way we have done it.

Twenty-two people were killed when a suicide bomber attacked a concert for American singer Ariana Grande on May 22, 2017.

He said: "When the attack happened, I was at home with my son, and my wife and daughters were there".

"She called me, but immediately broke the line". Every time we go out we always sing this song all together.

"I will be a Manchester City fan and it will not be possible to train another team like Manchester City in England because I feel love from the people here".

"I think it's good for the young players like John Stones that they learn to play in different positions".

"If you don't try to be creative and don't ask why do we have to do that, why not another way, then humanity doesn't exist anymore".

Guardiola said he had a special relationship with Manchester after members of his family were caught up in the Manchester Arena terror attack a year ago, in which 22 people were killed.

Brazilian midfielder Fernandinho, meanwhile, who City signed from Shakhtar five years ago, said: 'We came here and to see so many familiar faces and friends; I'm so glad to come back here.

A master tactician on the field, Guardiola is also known for his love of music off it, with his interview with Balague revolving around the six songs that defined his life, love, football and family.

Kevin De Bruyne is concerned over the potential state of the Wembley pitch when Manchester City take on Tottenham on Monday.

"I will be Mancunian for the rest of my life", he said. "So, here you are more comfortable".

The 47-year-old said: "I met him more as a person, it was fantastic".

"All managers, we make a lot of decisions because of feelings".

"That moment on Youtube where everyone is in silence and one woman starts to sing and everyone starts to sing".
