I was Brett Kavanaugh's college roommate. He lied under oath

Brett Kavanaugh's college roommate, a potential key witness in a background investigation of the Supreme Court nominee, says he's concerned that FBI agents haven't contacted him to corroborate decades-old allegations against the judge, who he claims lied under oath about his drinking.

Roche wrote of Kavanaugh, "Brett Kavanaugh stood up under oath and lied about his drinking and about the meaning of words in his yearbook".

During his hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee last week, Kavanaugh admitted to drinking alcohol during his high school and college years, but undercut the notion that he went beyond social norms.

Smyth, in a letter via his attorney to the Senate Judiciary Committee, denied having any "knowledge of the party in question" or "any knowledge of the allegations of improper conduct she has leveled against Brett Kavanaugh".

I know this because I heard Brett and his friends using these terms on multiple occasions, ' Roche wrote, without elaborating on how he claims Kavanaugh used the phrases.

Ramirez alleged that Kavanaugh drunkenly exposed himnself to her while they were both at Yale, and Swetnick says she was raped at a party that Kavanaugh attended. He said, "I believe her because it matches the same story I heard 35 years ago, although the two of us have never talked".

Regarding the FBI's investigation into Kavanaugh, Coons admitted that the Democrats essentially have found nothing to corroborate the claims made by Christine Blasey Ford.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell set up a procedural vote for Kavanaugh's nomination on Wednesday night, hours before the senate is expected to review the FBI's supplemental background review on the judge.

The FBI's interview with Ramirez is part of a report on Kavanaugh that has not been publicly published; Senators and some aides were allowed to review it in private Thursday morning. Sen.

"We were in a room together - our beds were 10 feet apart for a couple of months", Roche told Cooper.

In the op-ed, Roche wrote he was willing to talk to FBI investigators, but when speaking to Anderson Cooper, he said he had "never been contacted about Brett by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, ever".

"In my view, the jurisprudence of Judge Kavanaugh is well outside the mainstream", Coons said.

Roche is just one of the people who have appeared suddenly in the national narrative as the drama involving Kavanaugh had unfolded.

"In Brett's cases, if he is innocent, he should be cleared", Roche writes in the Slate op-ed. My mother, who has since passed away, was a Republican state representative in CT.

Roche later issued a lengthier statement describing Kavanaugh as a heavy drinker in college. "I think that contributed to some of my feelings about the fact that these guys treated women in a way that I didn't like". I am grateful for each and every one of you.

"In fact, none of us condemned Brett for his frequent drunkenness", they wrote.
