At least 204 Palestinians have been martyred by Israeli fire in Gaza since protests began on March 30.

One of the Gazan Palestinians who blew a hole in the security fence and crossed the border into Israel on Friday was killed at point-blank after approaching a soldier with a knife, the military said early Sunday.

RAMALLAH, Palestinian Territories: A Palestinian woman died of her wounds after Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank threw stones at the auto she was travelling in, Palestinian security sources and media said Saturday (Oct 13).

Armed Israeli paramilitary settlers have launched a number of attacks on the Palestinian civilian population in the Nablus area, with the number of attacks drastically increasing since two Israeli settlers were killed by a Palestinian in the area on Monday. It comes as six Palestinians were reportedly killed in clashes on Friday. Israel said its troops had shot a group who broke through the fence with a bomb and attacked an army post.

The majority were killed during border demonstrations, though others died in airstrikes and tank shelling. And on Thursday, a Palestinian man stabbed and wounded an Israeli soldier, raising the possibility of a revenge attack.

Israeli Police Spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said: "Police arrived in the area and have opened an investigation into the circumstances behind the incident reported". An Israeli soldier was killed over the same period.

Since March, Hamas has orchestrated near-weekly protests along the fence.

Top Palestinian official and member of Fatah, Ahmad Majdalani, said the party remains suspicious of the Qatari role in meddling in the affairs of the Gaza Strip, controlled by Hamas.

The fuel deliveries were aimed at easing months of protests along the separation fence east of Gaza, which has been under a crippling Israeli and Egyptian blockade for more than a decade.

Gaza-based social media released a video showing a crowd of Palestinian demonstrators surrounding Islamic Hamas movement politburo chief Ismail Haniyeh to protect him from the tear gas.
