Meghan Markle has revealed when the royal baby is due.

Rather than stick to her signature dark shades of black and navy, the Duchess of Sussex opted for a double pop of color when she visited the town of Birkenhead, Merseyside, with Prince Harry on Monday.

According to a number of royal reporters who were on hand to catch the whole thing, Meghan revealed to a woman in the crowd (who deserves some kind of journalistic prize for her efforts) that she and bump are now six months pregnant.

Markle was also said to have insisted she wasn't finding out the sex of the baby because she wanted it to be a "surprise", according to numerous royals reporters on Twitter.

Britain's Meghan, Duchess of Sussex chats with head chef Stuart Jones during a visit to the Royal Variety Charity's residential nursing and care home, Brinsworth House in Twickenham, London on December 18, 2018.

The scenes were in stark contrast to earlier that day, when eager royal fans flocked to see the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The project supports women in vulnerable circumstances and helps them make positive lifestyle choices and changes.

In addition to their charitable work and impending parenthood, Meghan and Harry are preparing for a big move in 2019. Meanwhile, her husband stuck with a more neutral look.

Their first stop of the day was Hamilton Square to view a new sculpture erected in November to mark the 100th anniversary of war poet Wilfred Owen's death. As far as a name, the favorite is Diana, a clear tribute to the baby's late grandmother, although there's also speculation that frontrunners are Alice or Grace.

Bookmakers William Hill said a punter had put £500 on the duke and duchess having a baby girl in the coming weeks.

The royal pair then visited The Hive and Wirral Youth Zone, which was created by the charity OnSide Youth Zones, which aims to develop modern youth facilities across the UK. According to royal biographer Andrew Morton, Meghan is very into food: "He loves cooking, exploring new foods, and experimenting with fresh flavours".
