Stone seemed to reinforce that message with an Instagram post on Saturday which characterized the Mueller probe into him as a "nothingburger".
Though those allegations don't form the basis of any of the charges against Stone, their inclusion in the 24-page indictment could signal that Mueller isn't done with that prong of the investigation.
He testified behind closed doors to the House Intelligence Committee in September 2017. United States intelligence agencies and Mueller's investigators have said Russian Federation was the source of that hacked material.
On what he hopes to gain in giving multiple interviews: "I think the way I was treated on Thursday is extraordinary", he said, citing the slew of Federal Bureau of Investigation agents.
He is also accused of making false statements to the House Intelligence Committee about his interactions related to the release by WikiLeaks of hacked emails during the 2016 presidential election.
As a campaign advisor, then, Stone could have colluded - and Giuliani wouldn't deny it.
He's a longtime political consultant, a purveyor of conspiracy theories and an unabashed reveller in his own reputation for underhanded tactics.
"Again, I think it is created to intimidate me or perhaps seek personal information that can be used to embarrass me that has nothing to do with Wikileaks, Russia, the 2016 campaign or anything else".
He said: 'As I have said previously, there is no circumstance whatsoever under which I will bear false witness against the president, nor will I make up lies to ease the pressure on myself'.
"I think the way I was treated on Thursday is extraordinary", he said. He branded the conversation an "exclusive".
He repeatedly told reporters that he will "not testify" against the President.
A year later, Stone joined with lawyer Paul Manafort - who became Trump's campaign chair in 2016 - to form a Republican legal and political consultancy.
Assange's WikiLeaks published embarrassing Russian-hacked communications from Democrat Hillary Clinton's campaign in 2016, giving Trump's campaign a boost.
The indictment against Stone alleges that the 66-year-old was the middle man between Donald Trump's presidential campaign and Wikileaks, which had damaging information on Trump's opponent Hillary Clinton. He says his committee will be eager to learn who directed the official.
The indictment accuses Stone of carrying out a "prolonged effort" to keep Credico from contradicting his testimony before the House intelligence committee.
Stone had also blasted the prosecution in a circus-like atmosphere outside the courthouse on Friday, as supporters cheered him on and jeering spectators shouted "Lock him up". The indictment suggests that Mueller knows who those officials are and is examining the roles they played.
First things first, it's a big deal because he's just been arrested in the Special Counsel probe. And it renews questions about why so many people around the president have been accused of lying in the Russian Federation investigation.
The Trump campaign apparently did communicate with Stone - a well-known friend to the campaign and to the candidate himself.
The indictment does not name either the associate or the high-ranking campaign official.
He briefly served on Mr Trump's campaign, but was pushed out amid infighting with then-campaign manager Corey Lewandowski.
In an August tweet, Stone wrote, "Trust me, it will soon [be] Podesta's time in the barrel".
The seven-count indictment against Mr Stone, a self-proclaimed "dirty trickster" with a long history with Mr Trump, is the first criminal case in months from special counsel Robert Mueller.
