Kings to acquire Barnes from Mavs

NBA trade rumors: Rockets acquire Iman Shumpert, move Brandon Knight in 3-team deal

The Kings acquired Alec Burks from the Cleveland Cavaliers as part of that trade.

The Houston Rockets will be getting Iman Shumpert from the Kings.

Knight, Chriss and the first rounder are headed to Cleveland.

Cleveland is sending guards Nik Stauskas and Wade Baldwin IV as well as a 2021 second- round draft pick (via Milwaukee) to Houston.

Baldwin, 22, saw only limited duty in Portland this season, averaging 1.9 points in 5.9 minutes in 16 games, also spending time with its G-League affiliate, the Texas Legends. He'll give Rockets head coach Mike D'Antoni a defensive option should they meet the better perimeter scoring threats - such as Kevin Durant and Paul George - in the playoffs.

Knight has two seasons, including 2019, and about $30 million left on the five-year, $70 million deal he signed with the Suns. The Cavaliers will also continue to look elsewhere as they seek to rebuild a team that now stands at 11-43 on the year.

With the trade deadline coming up at 3 P.M. EST today, we will be sure to bring you all of the latest updates. Shump is averaging close to nine points per game in addition to three rebounds and two assists. That means the Hawks will only receive a pair of second-round picks in exchange for Korver.

We all knew that the Cleveland Cavaliers would be (and still are likely to be more) active in the time surrounding the National Basketball Association trade deadline. Shumpert is a free agent after this season, so they procure a pick rather than risk him walk away for nothing.
