LEAKED: Trump's day is 60 percent unstructured

Twitter reacts to Trump 'Executive Time'

President Donald Trump spends the majority of his time in unstructured "executive time", according to an Axios report published over the weekend. This unstructured period is usually spent by the President watching TV, calling up advisers and friends, or just catching up on news.

Trump's schedule begins with hours of "Executive Time" and lists the location as the 'Oval Office, ' but the president is rarely in the Oval Office during that time, six sources with direct knowledge of the schedule have said.

The Oval Office is in the West Wing of the White House grounds and separated from the President's residence.

White House officials are expressing anger after an insider leaked months of President Donald Trump's private schedules.

The concept of Executive Time was apparently introduced by former chief of staff John Kelly, to deal with the fact that Trump disliked being locked into a formal schedule.

In January 2018, a similar leak to the same publication introduced "executive time" to an incredulous world.

Axios wrote: "The schedules, which cover almost every working day since the Midterms, show that Trump has spent around 60 per cent of his scheduled time over the past three months in unstructured Executive Time".

In all, the contents of the schedules, after being retyped by Axios to help protect their source, took up 95 pages, all of which have been made available to the public.

But Fox News host Greg Gutfeld said Trump needs more of it, not less.

"President Trump has ignited a booming economy with lower taxes and higher wages, established the US as the #1 producer of oil and gas in the world, remade our judiciary, rebuilt our military, and renegotiated better trade deals", Sanders stated. "It's indisputable that our country has never been stronger than it is today under the leadership of President Trump".

The White House director of Oval Office operations, Madeleine Westerhout, called the release of the schedules "a disgraceful breach of trust" in a tweet.

Appearing alongside MacCallum, Fox's "Media Buzz" presenter Howie Kurtz weighed in, calling the schedule "a heat-seeking missile of a leak ... exclusively created to embarrass Donald Trump".

Based on its analysis, the president spent roughly 60 percent of his total working day in "executive time" over the last ninety days.

Conway explained that the version of the schedule that leaked is distributed daily to 388 people in the administration, but very few have access to an even more detailed presidential agenda.
