Has the Mueller investigation vindicated Trump? | Mueller Probe

Robert Mueller Put Trump’s Fate in Congress’s Hands

Within minutes of the March 24 release of U.S. Attorney General William Barr's outline of the report from Special Counsel Robert Mueller, one thing quickly became clear: The investigation into whether President Donald Trump's campaign conspired or coordinated with Russian Federation during the 2016 election has yet to settle the issue.

In interviews since Attorney General William Barr issued his four-page letter on Sunday, Democrats have refused to accept that determination, saying there's ample evidence of Trump campaign and Russian Federation contacts that may not have risen to the level of criminal conduct.

US President Donald Trump says his enemies who did "evil" and "treasonous things" will be under scrutiny after he was absolved of colluding with Russian Federation.

Democrats were quick to counter the White House's take on Barr's outline, warning him not to bury the evidence and bringing up the possibility of issuing a subpoena to Mueller to testify on the complete findings of his report.

The South Carolina senator, who spent the weekend with Mr Trump in Florida, said his panel would investigate the Department of Justice-led inquiry.

Mr Barr has promised to release as much of the report as possible, but says some parts of the document are legally sensitive.

Is President Trump in the clear?

"Attorney General Barr's letter raises as many questions as it answers", Pelosi and Schumer said in a joint statement.

For two years, President Trump has tweeted it constantly and practically shouted it from the White House lawn: No collusion!

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, in a on a conference call with reporters, called on Washington to make the first move to reset ties and repeated Moscow's denial of any interference in US elections and internal affairs or those of any other country.

Social media didn't let the network off the hook so easily online, however, with Twitter users posting a series of meme-laden messages urging the network to "get some help" over its Russian Federation obsession and accusing the network of singlehandedly boosting Trump's chances for reelection in 2020.

"That the president of the United States did not conspire with Russian Federation to influence the 2016 election and we know, because unlike Donald Trump and the right-wing hacks that were chopping Robert Mueller to pieces for two years, we know that Robert Mueller actually is an honorable man and we can put our heads on the pillows tonight and know", he continued, "that the president of the United States did not collude with Vladimir Putin and Russian Federation". "We're going to see what happens, it's going to be very interesting... there was no collusion, there was no obstruction - everybody knows it". Mueller did not make a determination on whether Trump obstructed justice.

"The Democrats will reason, quite properly in my view, that there must be something there or Mueller would have exonerated the president on obstruction, just as he did on conspiracy".

Barr and Rosenstein "concluded that the evidence developed during the Special Counsel's investigation is not sufficient to establish that the President committed an obstruction-of-justice offense", the AG wrote in his letter Sunday.
