Trump now wants Mueller investigation report made public

US President Donald Trump speaks to reporters before departing the White House on Wednesday

There has been widespread speculation that Mueller is close to wrapping up his investigation, and the White House and congressional leaders on both sides of the aisle are planning for any number of outcomes.

President Donald Trump talks to reporters as he departs on travel to OH from the White House, March 20, 2019.

More than 82 percent of voters surveyed said it was very or somewhat important that Mueller's report be released to the public, according to a Suffolk University/USA TODAY national poll.

But that aside, it's simply absurd to read much into Trump's stated desire for the report to be released.

However, the majority of participants (51.7 percent) said that they had "little or no trust" in "President Trump's denial that there was collusion in his campaign with Russian meddling".

Voters also split over whether they support the president's denial that no collusion occurred between his 2016 campaign and Russian Federation, with 43 percent saying they had "a lot" or "some" trust in Trump's claim, compared to 52 percent who reported "little or no trust".

He added at the end of the tweet, "We will soon find out?" giving a nod to the recent reports that claim the special counsel is about to finish up his probe.

"Again, I say, a deputy, because of the fact that the attorney general didn't have the courage to do it himself, a deputy that's appointed appoints another man to write a report", he said.

With expectations rising that Mueller will wrap up his operation within weeks after having already charged six Trump associates and over two dozen Russians, Trump said that the secret report to be submitted to the Attorney General Bill Barr should be revealed to the public.

Trump went on to mischaracterize the effort, saying "it's sort of interesting that a man out of the blue just writes a report".

Even if Mueller's final report does not implicate the president in criminal conduct, the investigation was far from fruitless. He is not "just" writing a report. "We have the greatest economy we've ever had", which is also false. And you know who I want to see it?

"Trump can say: Here is the report". There was no nothing.

"I've done a great job all over the country", Trump continued, echoing remarks he's made earlier that you can't impeach a president if they've done a good job, which is also false. "End of the following day, they get him for this". I don't-I don't think people get it.

"I would think it would be more descriptive, more accurate to quit calling it the Mueller report whenever it comes out".
