Nipsey Hussle Shooting Suspect Charged with Murder, Faces Life in Prison

Nipsey Hussle shooting Woman who drove getaway car faces anger in community

Los Angeles Lakers star forward LeBron James made a vow to hip-hop star Nipsey Hussle, who passed away earlier this week due to a violent shooting.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office charged Holder with four counts, including one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder.

The not guilty plea means that Eric Holder will stand trial and is facing the maximum sentence of life in prison.

Traumatized by the murder of his longtime friend Nipsey Hussle, his bodyguard J-Roc has issued an emotional Instagram post saying he is retiring following the rapper's death.

Darden tried unsuccessfully to prevent the media from filming his client during his arraignment on Thursday, arguing that there was an "issue of identity". He was ordered held on $5 million bail and told to return for a hearing on May 10. The attempted murder charges are for the alleged shootings of the two other victims, Kerry Lathan and Shermi Cervabta Villanueva.

Prosecutors, however, dismissed his claim, arguing that Holder's photo had already been widely disseminated before his court appearance.

He was arrested in Bellflower, a suburb of Los Angeles after police received a tip.

People mourn Nipsey Hussle outside his Hyde Park store The Marathon Clothing on April 1, 2019, the day after the rapper was fatally shot there. Though both men had gang affiliations, the motive for the shooting does not appear to be gang-related.

In other news, the woman responsible for driving the getaway vehicle has reportedly made claims that she had no idea that a shooting was going to occur when she gave Holder a ride.
